WreckCheck Mobile App is a Useful Tool to Use after an Accident
By Daniel E DAngelo Esq on August 1, 2013
As accident attorneys, we are continually on the lookout for developments that will help people in the event of an accident. One such development is the Wreck Check app. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has created this free mobile app so consumers have at their finger tips important information on what to do immediately following a car or motorcycle accident at one of the most important times: while at the scene of the accident.
Accidents are frightening and stressful; in the hectic aftermath of a collision, whether it be a fender-bender or a more serious accident, it is easy to forget the appropriate steps to take to ensure your safety and your passengers’ safety, as well as protect yourself with regards to your insurance claim and liability. Referring to the “WreckCheck” app on your phone will provide reminders of many important steps, you may otherwise forget when you’ve just been in an accident, such as to take photos, document the location, and get the names and contact information of witnesses.
For more information on what to do following an accident please see our previous post on September 7, 2013: “What You should Do if You Are in a Car Accident.”
