Legislation to Increase Damages under the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act waiting for Governor’s Signature

Today the proposed legislation to increase the amount damages recoverable by Colorado personal injury victims for injuries caused by the the government and/or its employees, from $150,000 to $350,000 for a single person and from $660,000 to $990,000 by two or more persons for a single occurrence, has passed the House third reading. The bill is now waiting for the Governor’s signature.
