There are many reasons to carry medical payments coverage on your automobile insurance policy. Unlike health insurance, medical payments coverage typically does not restrict the type of treatment or which doctors you may see, it does not have co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance, and it will cover your passengers. Medical payments coverage is usually very affordable and won’t add much to your insurance premium and is well worth the additional benefits for the money.
